Shop Local during the Lockdown

Updated: Apr 10, 2020

As a village we're so proud of our vibrant array of high street shops and restaurants, they're the backbone of our economy, they are our friends and neighbours. But this is a difficult time to be a local independent business - many of our shops, cafes and restaurants have had to shut their doors. Those allowed to stay open, like food shops, are having to manage hugely increased demand while trying to stay safe for their customers and staff.

The good news is that we can help save our local businesses and be good for the planet at the same time. And if we all do a little, it will add up to a lot. Every £10 spent in a small local independent business works out at about £50 staying in the local economy.

So please: SHOP LOCAL! There are some pointers on our website. Click here to go to the page
